Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 29 The Cabinet Sub- Committee on implementation of recommendations of the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) met here today under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad and reviewed the recommendations received from the Commission. The Minister for Transport, Hakim Mohammad Yasin, Minister for Power, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Chief Secretary, B. R. Kundal, Director General Civil and Military Liaison, M.K. Mohanty, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Anil Goswami and Law Secretary, A.H. Kochak were present. In all, 642 recommendations were received from the SHRC, of these, 380 have been already implemented by the government. The CSC felt that not all recommendations received by the government were related to cases of human rights violations, as there were some pertaining to purely administrative nature. The Committee felt that other cases need further look and have been forwarded to Police and CID for verification. They have been asked to submit report within one month following which the Cabinet Sub Committee would meet again. |
