| Winning start by J&K kabaddi nationals | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 29 Jammu and Kashmir today made a winning start beating Hyderabad in a one-sided contest 26-17 in a league match of the 34th Junior National Kabaddi Championship which began today at Haridwar in Uttranchal. However, J&K lost their second league match of the day to defending champion Uttar Pradesh in a neck of neck fight 15-18. Karuneshwar Singh, Jamir Singh and Ranjeev Sharma were most impressive in both the matches and were instrumental in J&K victory. Most of the players in J&K team are from Sports Training Centre (STC) Udhampur of Sports Authority of India (SAI). According to the reports reaching here the championship was declared open by the Yoga Guru Ram Devji. He was accompanied by Uttranchal Chief Minister and Mahant Hans Raj in the inaugural function. |
