| Panthers seek De-recognition of congress party | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 29 The leader of J&K National Panthers Party legislature party Harsh Dev Singh in letters addressed to the chief election commissioner of India and Lt. Gen. Retd. S.K. Sinha, governor of J&K, sought de-recognition of congress party and disqualification of its candidate in Poonch for ‘Bribery’ corrupt practices which violate section 132 of J&K representation of people act. Harsh Dev as per press release said that with the start of the election process for the said bye elections, a number of candidates filed their nomination papers including by Yash Paul Sharma who filed his papers as independent candidate and that on 25th November, 2007 a team of congress leader including Madan Lal Sharma, M.P., and Choudhary Mohd. Aslam M.P. Ramesh Sharma, MoS, and MLC Sharma in a big to persuade the letter to withdraw his candidature in favour of official nominee of the congress party that on the refusal of the said independent candidate, Yash Paul Sharma to withdraw in support of congress nominee, the congress delegation made several offers to the former, as reporter in the media, which clearly and unambiguously fall within the purview of sec 132 of the J&K representation of peoples act. And amount to “Corrupt Practices” as defined in the said section. |
