Defence Minister AK Antony is visiting Sikkim on Saturday and during his 2-day visit, he will be accompanied by the Army Chief Gen Deepak Kapoor and other senior officials of Defence Ministry.
Antony will be visiting forward areas in the State including Nathu La where he will be briefed by the Army Commanders and will also interact with the troops and review the security situation besides meeting State Government officials. This is going to be the first visit of the Defence Minister to the State after he took over the charge of the Ministry in October last year. |
