| Arms, explosives recovered from militant hideout in Poonch | | |
Jammu, Aug 22 Security forces have raided a militant hideout in Poonch district and recovered arms and explosives, including hand grenades and improvised clamore mines, defence spokesman said today.
The security forces carried out a seach operation in Keri area of Poonch district last night on a tip off and recovered arms and ammunition from a cave in the area where militants dumped it.
The recoveries include one AK rifle with three magazines and 43 rounds, one loaded pistol, 18 rounds of PIKA ammunition, 17 rounds of 303 ammunition, one improvised clamore mine, four hand grenades and some IED switches.
The hideout was later destroyed by the troops, the spokesman added. |
