| Documentary, book on coalition's 2-year achievements released | | Azad expresses full faith in Mush's ‘K’ policy | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 30 Reposing faith on the Kashmir policy that Military General turned civil president of Pakistan Parvez Musharaff pursued over past some years, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday said India expects that the neighboring country would elect a government that would follow the same agenda.. Speaking at a function organized by state Information Department to release a documentary and a journal on the achievements of the coalition during his stint as Chief Minister, Azad said that unlike previous Pak governments Musharaf has been quite realistic by giving up his country's claim on Kashmir, adding that "India would look forward that after elections Pakistan would have a government which would take this agenda forward to bring peace in this part of the world". Affirming that the peace parleys with Pakistan were moving in right direction, Azad said that the two countries would have made a substantial progress on this front had the internal situation in Pakistan not been disturbed. Commenting on the achievements of coalition during last two years, he claimed that during his stint in office he made it a point to that the projects taken in hand should be completed in a stipulated period. "I wanted to do away with the foundation laying culture and every one can see today that most of the projects taken up during last two years are complete" Azad asserted. Earlier, a documentary on the achievements of coalition government was shown which was followed by a scintillating cultural programme presented by artists of Information and Academy of Arts. |
