| Wadhwa accorded warm farewell | | Served the state for 35 years in different capacities | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 30 Gurmakh Dass Wadhwa an IAS Officer of 1972 batch attained superannuation today. He was accorded warm farewell on his superannuation at a function held in his office. Mr. Wadhwa who retired as Financial Commissioner Revenue served the state for more than 35 years in various capacities. He remained Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Commissioner Sales Tax, Commissioner/Secretary Science and Technology and Commissioner/ Secretary Revenue. He also served as Chairman SSRB and Financial Commissioner Social Welfare, Financial Commissioner Labour and Employment and Financial Commissioner Revenue The speakers speaking on the farewell ceremony recalled his meritorious services and his commendable role in the development of the state. Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Shah staff officer in the office of Financial Commissioner Revenue said that Mr. Wadhwa as the son of the soil put his all efforts and caliber in serving the people of his state in best capacities. He said that born in Jammu, Mr. Wadhwa by his abilities and hard work was lucky enough to qualify Indian Administrative Services and getting Jammu and Kashmir cadre. He said, by virtue of his sincere efforts and dedication he held important assignments in the state administration and came up to the expectations of the people as well as those of high ups. |
