An eyewitness Mahesh told CISF that these men may have entered the premises but was sketchy about the details.
In order to prevent any untoward incident, Surat Rural Police has swung into action and has sealed the boundaries of the city.
However, it is difficult to enter the Atomic Plant as CISF has ensured several rings of security at the plant.
Kakrapar Atomic Power Station is about 80-85 km from the Surat city, where electricity is produced by the atomic method instead of the thermal procedure.
Reacting to the news of security breach at Kakrapar Atomic Power Plant, Chairman of NPCIL S K Jain said, “Nothing could go wrong at the plant. Reactors are very well guarded and the two-armed men cannot do anything.”
