| Dorje inspect dev works in Nubra | | | Early Times Reporter Ladakh | Nov 30 The chief executive councilor of LAHDC-Leh Chering Dorje accompanied by number of district officers inspected the ongoing work of government higher secondary school Nubra, coming up at village Tsogstost Diskit, an amount of Rs.4.56 crore are being spent on it. CEC who inspected the ongoing works of school was told that residential quarters for the lecturers are coming of at a cost of Rs.1.50 crores and so far Rs.56 lacs has spent and four sects of the residential quarters are complete up to ending September 2007. He further told that 2.50 crores are being spent on the construction of class seven rooms and till class have been completed and works on another class rooms are completed up to roof level in which Rs. 19 lacs has been spent so far. On the compound walling of the higher secondary complex Rs. 50 lacs are being spent and till date Rs. 10 lacs has been spent. CEC and the councilors has a meeting with public at Khardong where the people demanded for upgradation of MAC Khardong to Allopathic Dispensary. Khardong Farka and materials like pipes cost of Rs. 4.40 lacs has already booked and the works would start from next month. At Khalsar the people demanded for reconstruction of the community hall, construction of Micro Hydle project through science and technology department and flood protection bunds. In reference to a demand of Guest House at Khaltsar Executive councilor, Tourism said that Rs. 52 lacs has proposed to be spent to construct guest house and cafeteria under tourism development authority. The offices who accompanied the CEC were executive councilor from Health, Dorje Mutup, Tourism, Tsewang Rigzin, Minority affairs and forest, Mohd. Khan, Addl. Deputy Commissioner Sonam Gyalson, Director DRDA, Ali Raza and SDM, Tsewang Dolma. |
