| Khoda chairs condolence meeting | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 30 Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda today chaired a condolence meeting to mourn the death of retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. M. S. Farooqi, who passed away today at Jammu. The meeting was attended by all senior police functionaries at Police headquarters Jammu. Expressing his grief and sorrow on behalf of all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police Organization, Mr. Khoda recalled his meritorious services in the police organization in various capacities. Two-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul. Khoda said that senior late police officer served the department for more than 35 years. The whole police organization remembers his contribution as DIG Administration, where the officer rendered a remarkable service. Earlier, the Director General of Police alongwith other senior police officers visited the residence of late Farooqi at Chhanni Himmat and conveyed their sympathies to his son Mr. Javaid Farooqi and other family members. Later, in the afternoon the body of Mr. Farooqi was sent to Srinagar for last rites. DGP and all senior officers of police organization were present on the occasion. |
