| J&K kabaddi team qualifies for QFs | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir today qualified their pool to enter the knock-out stage of quarterfinals in the 34th Junior National Kabaddi Championship underway at Haridwar in Uttranchal. With today’s two wins, J&K finished at No. 2 position in pool-A behind title holder Uttar Pradesh. Led by Jamir Singh, the team played excelled game today beating Jharkhand and Gujarat. According to the reports reaching here, it was virtually a one-sided contest against Jharkhand 49-17 while Gujarat showed some resistance before they were beaten by a convincing margin 64-47. Besides Jamir Singh, Karamvir Singh and Rajesh Sharma also played well in today’s league matches. Meanwhile, finding a good stuff in Jamir Singh, who is a product of SAI run STC Udhampur, the J&K captain has been selected for the India camp for the international competitions ahead. |
