Jammu | Nov 30: Government MAM College today lifted the overall trophy with 11 medals in their tally in the inter-college Judo tournament which was organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu, here today.
To claim the trophy, MAM College bagged four gold medals as many silvers and three bronze medals in the competitions which took place in eight different weight categories.
Judokas of Government SPMR College of Commerce and those from Trikuta Degree College and Degree College Kathua also performed well in the competitions.
The detailed results:
56 kg: Suraj Parkash, MAM College, Ist; Aatish Dutta, SPMR College of Commerce, 2nd; Rahul Kumar, Trikuta Degree College and Dimple Kumar of Degree College Kathua shared third place.
60 kg: Ankit Sharma, MAM College, Ist; Randev, Commerce College, 2nd; Amit Kumar, GGM Science College and Ganesh Dass, Degree College Kathua, joint third.
66 kg: Raj Kumar, Trikuta Degree College, Ist; Vikas Rampal, Commerce College, 2nd; Pardeep Singh, MAM College (evening) and Bharat Bhushan, Degree College Kathua, joint third.
73 kg: Gulsar Ahmed, PG Departments, Ist; Sunil Sharma, MAM College, 2nd; Mukul Sharma, M AM College (evening) and Rajeev Singh, Commerce College, joint third.
80 kg: Aman Sharma, Degree College Kathua, Ist; Kailash Singh, Commerce College, 2nd; Vikram Krishan, Trikuta College and Basu Khajuria, Science College, joint third.
90 kg: Sunil Sharma, PG Departments, Ist; Sarfraz Choudhary, MAM College, 2nd and Abhey Chauhan, MAM (evening), third.
100 kg: Harminder Singh, MAM College, Ist; Rohit Khajuria, Degree College, Kathua, 2nd.
