| PDP workers asked to campaign for cong candidate | | | Early Times Reporter

The PDP patron and a former Chief Chief Minister,Mufti Mohd.,Sayeed,has asked his partymen to mobilize voters support for the Congress candidate,Jehangir Mir,who is contesting the bypoll in Pooch constituency.The polling is scheduled to take place on December 12.
The by-election was caused following the demise of National Conference candidate,G.M.Jan.Since the PDP,which shares power with the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir,has not fielded its candidate it has decided to lend support to the Congress candidate.
According to the PDP General Secretary,Mr Nizam-ud-Din Bhat,the PDP leadership has directed party leaders and workers in Pooch to campaign for the success of the congress candidate.Asked whether senior PDP leaders,including the Mufti and his daughter,Mehbooba Mufti,will also campaign in favour of the congress candidate in Pooch Mr Bhat said “it depends on the requirement of the Congress.We will have no hesitation in sending our senior party leaders for campaigning in favour of Jehangri Mir.” |
