| As Azad recounts 2-year achievements, many pitfalls still prevail | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 30: Although media managers of government organized a function here today to recount the achievements of Azad led coalition government during its two years of governance yet many areas of concern have witnessed stagnation during the period as a result of which the masses of state are confronted with same problems which prevailed decades ago. Having an eye on coming Assembly elections, the dedicated media managers of government lost no time in highlighting the two year achievements of present dispensation but the long rooted problems are still existing much for the trouble of the people of state. The potable water is still a luxury particularly when mercury hits high during summer season and despite the frequent assurances of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for early completion of Sitli filtration Pant, the work at the project is going on snails pace only for the miseries of people. Azad in his unique style had even apologized to people of Jammu for having their taps sipping once in a fortnight. High promises were made at that time by the chief minister to double the capacity of the Setlie plant by February, while letting the PHE authorities to go stock free for their failure of not completing the second intake plant damaged in floods in the stipulated time. |
