Congress leaders seek vote for party candidate

Congress candidate for Poonch Haveli Assembly Constituency Jahangir Mir accompanied by Ch. Mohd. Aslam MP, G.M. Mir Poonchi and Vice President PCC, and MLC Lal Mohd., Ch. Zaffarullah Azad President Distt. Congress Committee Poonch and Ch. Mohd. Younis addressed largely attended meetings at Jgallas, Daradullian, Kunian and appealed the voters to vote for congress party for peace progress and development of the state.
Highlighting the achievements of coalition govt. in the state, the congress leaders said that all the vital commitments made by the Congress Party in the 2002 Assembly elections and the Common Minimum Programme of the coalition govt. have been fulfilled. The state has witnessed tremendous development in all the sectors in past five years. They said that the Prime Minister Dr, Manmohan Singh, Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi are keen to establish peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and the Central Govt. has provided funds liberally to ensure speedy development of the state.
