| Police arrests two car lifters, stolen vehicles recovered | | | Early Times Reporter

Police claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of car lifters by arresting two kingpins of the group, from whom number of stolen motorcycles and cars were recovered.
Police spokesman quoting Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sumbal (SDPO) Harmeet Singh told News Agency of Kashmir that Sumbal police on receiving various complaints regarding vehicle lifting.
On specific information police parties were deputed to various places and arrested two kingpins of the group involved in car lifting in the state.
The arrested car lifters have been identified as Riyaz Ahmed Hajam son of Mohammed Sultan Hajam of Tengpora Sumbal and Fayaz Ahmed Kaloo son of Ghulam Ahmed Kaloo resident of Naninara Sumbal, Spokesman added.
Two stolen cars and four motorcycles were also recovered at the instance of arrested persons.
A case FIR No 244/07, under section 379, 420, 467, 411 RPC has been registered in this regard and investigations have been taken up.
He said that the questioning of the accused persons is on and further recoveries are expected. |
