| Gupta demands relief to PAK refuges | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 1 The senior BJP Leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta in a press statement issued here today has demanded to provide relief to the refugees of Pakistan who were forced to migrate in 1947, 1965 and 1971 to this part. He said these refuges have been denied o f their genuine rights, but on the other hand refuges of Bangladesh have been given number of concession. Some of the refuges who migrated from Pakistan have been given land or quarters whereas majority of them have been given neither of these. They are feeling as if they are still living in a foreign land. He said they have been suffering from this treatment of state as well central govt. to redress their grievances. Moreover, as per the instructions of High Court the migrants of Talwara are being given economic help but the migrants of Rajouri and Poonch have been ignored. He asked the Govt. and give up this treatment, and provide to all refuges. With regard to militancy said that militancy is still in existence in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Militancy effected people are still suffering, to and should be given at least 10 lakh rupees each. |
