Jammu | Dec 1: The annual inter-school athletics meet (boys section) of Jammu district in different age groups of under-14, under-17 and under-19 concluded today with the holding of prize distribution function at University of Jammu grounds, here.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jai Raj was chief guest in the prize distribution function. Speaking to the medal winners and other participants, the district officer asked them to be ready and work hard for the inter-district state athletics meet.
Officials of the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu were among other dignitaries present.
The detailed results:
Under-19 boys: 1500 mts race: Ashwani Kumar, HSS Dhakkar, Ist; Sunil Singh, HSS Khour, 2nd and Pankaj Saini, HSS Arnia, third. 400 mts: Raghav Sharma, HSS Marh, Ist; Vinod Kumar, HSS Jourian, 2nd and Sandeep Singh, HSS Dansal, third. 4x100 mts Relay: HSS Marh (Raghav Sharma, Karan Singh, Sahil Sharma, Narinder Kumar), Ist; HSS Jourian (Sudershan Kumar, Vinod, Chamail, Arjun), 2nd and HSS Narariwala (Sukh Sagar, Sumeet, Vijay, Shatrugan Sharma), third.
Under-17 boys: 400 mts: Mohd Sadiq, HSS Ghou Manhasan, Ist; Kuldeep Singh, HS Hamirpur Sidhar, Ist; Ashval Gupta, MHAC Nagbani, third. 4x100 mts Relay: HSS Jourian (Sonu Sharma, Ram Kumar, Arjun Kumar and Ranjeet Singh), Ist; HSS Ghou Manhasan (Mohd Sadiq, Arun Sharma, Parveen Kumar, Rakesh Kumar), 2nd; High School Gole Gujral (Gulshan Kumar, Gurmeet Kumar, Raman Kumar, Fareed Ahmed), third.
Under-14 boys: 4x100 mts: KC Public School (Rohit Singh, Bhanu Partap, Zuhaib, Rajat Singh), Ist and MHAC Nagbani (Ravjot, Stanzin, Vasu and Shubam Sharma), 2nd. |
