| Despite reshuffle key posts remained vacant in JK Police | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 1 Do stay in queue and wait, if you want redressal of your grievances as the key posts in Jammu and Kashmir police remained vacant even after a major reshuffle on Friday. While government came to the rescue of newly promoted SP's by issuing their posting orders, in different wings of the state police, the important posts in CID Jammu have not been filled for obvious reasons. Beside this the authorities even failed to appoint SSP's in the newly created districts, which has adversely affected the functioning of the department. Sources said that the reshuffle in police department provided a sigh of relief to the newly promoted SP's who were still functioning at their early places. "At last authorities woke up from the deep slumber and issued the transfer orders", one of the newly promoted SP told News Agency of Kashmir. No doubt government order transfers and postings of about 50 police officers but one of the premier wings of Jammu and Kashmir police, Crime Investigation Department (CID) Jammu still remained without two key officers. It is pertinent to mention that post of ADG (CID) and SSP (CID) Jammu remained vacant since the elevation of Kuldeep Khuda as DGP and Alok Puri as DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, respectively. Government is yet to appoint a full time SSP for Jammu district, where Parminder Singh was given charge of SSP after the transfer of Mukesh Singh. The officers continue to work as incharge. Sources in the civil secretariat told News Agency of Kashmir that numbers of proposals were formulated for filling of posts of SSPs in the newly created districts and confirmation of SSP Jammu. However, the internal differences between the coalition alliance were not paving way for the clearance of these proposals, they added. |
