| Culture Academy organizes musical programme in memory of Madhukar | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 2 Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Jammu in collaboration with Duggar Manch (regd) Jammu organized a Paper Reading and Musical Programme in the memory of Late Dogri Poet Mr K S Madhukar a towering personality of Duggar Soil at K L Saigal Hall of Academy Complex. While welcoming the august gathering, Special Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Mr T R Sharma said that the poetry written by Shri Madhukar bore deep connection with the people of the region. He said the academy will extend full cooperation for organizing such type of programme in the memory of other prominent poets of the land in future. Station Director, Radio Kashmir, Jammu Dr K C Dubey while appreciating the efforts of Cultural Academy and Duggar Manch for taking such a step to organize such a function in the memory of Dogra Hero Later Shri K S Madhukar. Recalling the time shared with later Madhukar, Mr Dubey said that the personality of Madhukar could not be expressed in this short function. HOD Dogri Department Prof Archana Kesar while throwing light on the services rendered by Late Madhukar to Dogri literature said that such type of personalities will only born once in a century. She further said that poetry of later Madhukar have received much appreciation from the common masses. As the poetry of Madhukar depicts the stories of ruling classes and victimized section of people in general. President Duggar Marnch (Regd) Mr Mohan Singh thanked the Secretary Cultural Academy for extending full cooperation and providing K L Saigal Hall, for organizing one day seminar in the memory of renowned Dogra Poet Late K S Madhukar. Mr Sham Sajan a noted and established singer of the state alongwith his associates presented songs of late Madhukar. Whereas Mr Mohan Singh and Praveen Kesar read papers on the Life and Works of Late Madhukar. |
