Civil Defence Jammu Zone clinched the football and volleyball titles while the Kabaddi final was won by Auxiliary Police Jammu Zone in the ongoing annual Inter-Zone sports meet of Homeguards, Civil Defence and Auxiliary Police at Gulshan Grounds, here today.
In football, Civil Defence Jammu Zone defeated Civil Defence Kashmir Zone by a solitary goal. To make it a double title win, Civil Defence Jammu Zone trounced Civil Defence Kashmir Zone 3-1 in the volleyball final today.
Today’s finals were witnessed by Naveen Aggarwal, IGP Homeguards, Civil Defence and Auxiliary Police. He was accompanied by Kamal Saini, DIG and Sarwar Chouhan, SO to IGP.The ongoing sports meeting is being held under the supervision of Sports Officer for the meet, DySP Manjit Kour.
Meanwhile, the field and track events of athletics meet started today with Rafaquit Hussain of Homeguards Jammu Zone winning the sprint gold.

ATHLETICS: 100 mts race: Rafaquit Hussain, HG Jammu, Ist; Varun Dhar, CD Jammu, 2nd and Irfan Ahmad, CD Kashmir, third.
200 mts race: Umesh Dayal, CD Jammu, Ist; Varun Dhar, CD Jammu, 2nd and Abdul Majid, Auxiliary Kashmir Zone, third.
