| JWAM opposes proposed expansion of council of minister | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 3 The Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) led by Sunil Dimple while opposing the proposed cabinet expansion has urged the Governor S.K. Sinha to stop further expansion of the cabinet in the state saying that it has already crossed the material strengths as per the 97th amendment of the Indian constitution of 12%ministry of total number of Assembly MLA's. JWAM leader also demanded the Governor that the assembly elections in 2008 should be held under the President rule in the state. While interacting with the press Sunil Dimple also urged the Governor to constitute the Delimitation Commission and hold fresh delimitations of the Jammu west assembly constituency and bifurcate the Jammu West Assembly segment into the two Assembly constituencies as it is the largest constituency in the state with 3 lakh voters,10 lakh population and 26 corporation .It will be" in justice" and "discrimination" with the people of Jammu West constituency if the elections are held under the present delimitations of the constituency. He alleged that the collision Govt. has badly failed in its 5 years tenure due to in fighting of the alliance partners and frequent boycott of the cabinet meetings by the PDP due to which the people of Jammu are suffering in all fields of development,education,health,roads,water and other facilities . |
