| One killed, fierce encounter on in Kashmir | | | Early Times Reporter

A fierce encounter has been going on between militants and security forces in central Kashmir.
Official sources said that the Special Operation Group of the Jammu and Kashmir police and the Central Reserve Police Force launched a joint operation in village Ararth in the central Kashmir district of Badgam early on Monday morning.
However, when the security forces were sealing the area, militants opened fire. Reinforcement was rushed to the area from nearby camps and all exit points were sealed to foil any attempt by the militants to escape.
Security forces also returned the fire and a fierce encounter was going on when the report last came in, said sources. |
