| KC International hosts Sur Sangam | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu| Dec 3 KC International School emerged winner in the second Inter school music competition Sur Sangam 2007 held in the school premises, here today. President Natrang, Balwant Thakur, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. About 20 leading schools participated in the competition. While speaking on the occasion, Balwant Thakur appreciated the performances of the budding talents of Jammu and expressed great hope in the promising musical and cultural upbringing of the future citizens of Jammu. Chairman of the school, Vinay Kumar Mahajan welcome all the guests while Principal of the school, Subhendu Sarkar, said that music is one of the most profound human achievements. He further said that there is rarely any body who is not touched by some way at some time in their lives. Students on this occasion presented various cultural items followed by scintillating performances. The competition was adjudged by Suraj Singh, Harish Kaila, Ravi Sharma and Rakesh Anand. In Junior category KC International School bagged 1st prize while Presentation Convent and JK Police Public School bagged 2nd and 3rd prize. In Senior category , KC International again bagged 1st position while DPS and Model Academy bagged 2nd and 3rd prize. Vice Chairman of the school, Chaitanya Chowdhary presented the vote of thanks. |
