| Khoda inaugurates IRP 13th Bn. Hqr | | | Jammu | Dec 3 Calling for close rapport among the all wings of Jammu and Kashmir Police Organization, Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda said that efforts are on to provide better accommodation to all the units of the police organization across the state. Director General of Police was inaugurating the new accommodation for newly raised IRP 13th Battalion at Ghaink Gharota Seri near Kotbalwal here today. He said sufficient accommodation for all the units of the Organization would be provided in phases. On the occasion, Mr. Khoda inaugurated the newly constructed barrack, constructed on self help basis at a cost of Rs. 2.55 lakhs within shortest possible time by the Police Housing Corporation spread over 250 kanals of land. He said that the battalion was temporarily established at Channi Himmat, now the battalion headquarter is permanently shifted to this place for which sufficient land has been acquired. Khoda also inaugurated the unit canteen at the battalion Headquarter to facilitate the Jawans and officers. Earlier on his arrival guard of honour was presented in honour of the DGP. The Inspector General of Police (Armed) Sheikh Owais Ahmed, briefed the Director General of Police about ongoing construction works around the battalion headquarters presently under execution and the Commandant of the Battalion Mr. Pankaj Mugha The Director General of Police was accompanied by the Inspectors General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra, Dr. S.P,.Vaid, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Mr. L. Mohanti, Mr. Muneer Ahmed Khan and other senior police officers. |
