Jammu | Dec 3: Auxiliary Police Jammu Zone topped the points tally to clinch the overall trophy in the inter-zonal sports meet of Home Guards, Civil Defence and Auxiliary Police held at Police Stadium, Gulshan Grounds, here today.
Rattan Lal of Auxiliary Police Jammu Zone emerged as best athlete. Earlier, in the tug of war final, Auxiliary Police Jammu Zone overpowered Home Guards Jammu Zone 2-0.
Later, in a tug of war exhibition match between Civil Defence Wardens and Civil Defence Volunteers, which was won by the Volunteers 2-0.
In the valedictory function, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda was chief guest who gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up teams. Inpsector General of Police, Naveen Aggarwal presided over. |
