| Adil hits century to bring J&K out of trouble | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 3: Hitting his second century, Adil Rashi (112) today saved Jammu and Kashmir from a possible innings defeat against Tripura guiding team to a comfortable position of 240 for four on the second day of the Cooch Behar under-19 cricket match underway at Patiala in Punjab. According to the reports reaching here, in reply to Tripura’s first innings total of 275, J&K followed on after the whole side bowled out for 77 runs. However, Adil Rishi and Imran Haroon saved J&K from humiliating defeat through their opening partnership of 212 runs. While Adil made 112, Imran could not complete his century and lost his wicket at 96. When stumps were drawn, J&K were at 240 for four with Aditya Pratap (4) and Parvez Rasool (17) at the crease. Earlier, Manik Gupta and Muddassar bowled well for J&K taking four and three wickets respectively. Parvez Rasool and Ram Dayal bagged two and one wicket respectively. |
