| PNB organizes a plantation drive | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 4 Punjab National Bank (PNB) Zonal Office (J&K) Zone, today held a plantation drive here today at Government Middle School Babliana Jammu under it social responsibility programme. Vivek Arya Zonal Manager (J&K) Zone has stated that it was seventh tree plantation drive programme under the theme Paryavaran-20007-08 and has advised the students to go for the savings also. He informed that for the students the PNB has specially set up saving schemes under the title Vidharthi Saving Bank (VSB) with zero balance at PNB Branches located close to their school. He asked the students to open up their accounts at PNB Gangyal which has recently been rolled on as National banking networking. B B Thaper Senior Manager of the hot branch who was also present on this occasion assured the students for the due cooperation and to see how the computerization of the banking works effectively. About 75 students from school joined the Tree Plantation Drive launched by PNB and planted various plant saplings in the premises of host school. Earlier the students were encouraged and made aware about the conservation of environment and surrounding ecological balance by the lectures from expert including Ditrict coordinator PNB, Agriculture Officer PNB and Principal of the School Lalita Kumari. |
