| CEC inspects const work of Largyap, Pachathang road | | | Early Times Reporter Leh | Dec 4 The construction work on 26 Km road between Largyap-Pachathang is going in full swing in the district. An amount of Rs. 69.40 lakhs has so far been spent on this road. Chief executive Councillor of LAHDC accompanied by councilors of health, forest and tourism inspected the on going work on the road. CEC was informed that about 12Km road length has been completed and during the current year about Rs. 19 lakhs has been spent on it. CEC urged upon the construction agencies to construct speedily the bridge so that the vehicle would reach Pachathang soon. The CEC on the occasion said that the Hill Council is committed to develop all the villages especially the border sector. He said that the Govt. have many schemes for upliftment of the area and the people should take benefit from that schemes. He directed the SDM, Nubra to conduct an awareness camp at Bokdang so that the people especially the unemployed youth could take benefit from the scheme. Referring to a demand the CEC said that a new building for the PHC Bokdang would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 34 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh is being spent this year. He said that a new water supply scheme would also constructed in Bokdang. On the demand of enhancement of budget allocation for construction of link road to Bakdang, allocation under district plan would also be allocated besides funds are also available under BADP scheme. |
