The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Ajeet Kumar Sahu inaugurated second 2-day Open District Level Fencing Championship in Community Hall, Ramban, today where 150 students drawn from different educational institutions of the district including Degree College, Ramban are taking part with zest and devotion.
The participating players have earlier been imparted a fortnight training by expert coaches of National and International repute namely Sanjeev Suri, Ajeet Singh and Bishen Singh.
Among the 150 participants, 70 students have been selected for taking part in the fencing championship beginning from today.
The Assistant Commissioner, Ramban, R.S. Tara, Dy. SP, Arun Gupta jointly presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahu hailed the organizers of the fencing championship and appreciated the team spirit of players who have shown their keen interest in the game of martial art.
Among others, Municipal Committee Councilor, Subash Sharma, DFO Ramban and prominent citizens, Vijay Singh Raju, Budhi Singh and Amrit Varsha were also present to witness the event. |
