| Semis line-up drawn in inter-college basketball | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 4: Semi-finals position has been cleared in the inter-college men’s basketball tournament with MAM College teams reaching the last four stage winning their quarterfinal matches played at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, here today. While MAM Evening defeated SPMR College of Commerce 27-22 (ht 11-8), MAM (morning) outplayed Trikuta Degree College 52-25 (25-18). It was Irfan who infact guided MAM (E) victory contributing most of the 19 points. Tushar played well for Commerce College making 16 points. In the second quarterfinal, it was Mohit Jamwal who scripted the MAM win making 25 points while Ranbir Singh fought well from Trikuta College added 17 points to team’s total of 25. Other two teams making it into the semi-finals are ASCOMS Batra and Law School of University of Jammu. In the quaterfinals played today, ASCOMS outplayed Dogra Law College 35-18 (ht 26-15) with Suparam Sharma remained top scorer (18 points). Suresh contributed eight points to Dogra Law School’s tally. Law School trounced the combined side of Post Graduate Departments of University of Jammu 44-33 (ht 16-15) Ashray (23 pts) and Rajan (24 pts) remained in limelight for their excellent performance from Law School and PG Departments respectively. Today’s matches were officiated by Mohd Shafi, Manjeet Kumar, Harpreet Singh and Ajay Singh. |
