| J&K needs four wickets for a win over Tripura | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 4: Sailing on a second innings total of 388 runs, Jammu and Kashmir is in need of four remaining wickets to come out with a possible victory over Tripura in the Cooch Behar under-19 cricket tournament underway at Patiala in Punjab. Chasing a victory target of 190 runs, Tripura were struggling at 143 or six at the end of day three play. It was because of good bowling by Manik Gupta and Muddassar that J&K started hoping for a possible win. Both these bowlers shared three wickets each, reports reaching here said. Now, both Tripura and J&K have equal chances of victory. While Tripura requires 47 runs, J&K have to bowl out remaining four wickets to win the match. Resuming their innings from overnight score of 240 for four, J&K lost all their wickets for 388 runs thereby taking 190 runs overall lead. Earlier, in the first innings, J&K were bowled out on a small total of 77 runs and in reply, Tripura made 275 runs. |
