| 12 Bangladeshis arrested near IB | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | Dec 5: At least 12 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested near International Border (IB) in R.S. Pura sector of Jammu when they were allegedly trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan.The security personnel noticed suspicious movement of some people near a border post at around 0130 hours today, a BSF spokesman said, adding the troops then laid a cordon and arrested twelve of them.Preliminary questioning revealed that the arrested belonged to Bangladesh and were brought to the area by some agent on a pretext of getting them jobs as labourers in Pakistan. A sum of Rs 358 was recovered from them and they were handed over to police for further investigation, the spokesman added. |
