| Minor girl killed, abandoned baby rescued in Kalakote | | | Early Times Reporter

While a minor girl was killed in a road mishap at Jagatpur link road in Rajbagh, a newly born child who was found abandoned along road side at Potha area of Kalakote was rescued by police.
Police spokesman told News Agency of Kashmir that a minor girl was killed when a load tractor hit her at Jagatpur Link road in Rajbagh.
She has been identified as Sonia (3) daughter of Puran Chand resident of Jagatpur Marheen. Police has registered a case and taken up the investigations in this regard.
Meanwhile police claims to have rescued a newly born child which was abandoned along the road side in Potha area of Kalakote.
Spokesman said some passersby after noticing the child inform the police who swung into action and rescued the child.
The child was later handed over to a local Mastan Singh on superadnama. Police has registered a case FIR No 34 of 07 under section 317 RPC at Kalakote police station. |
