CBI/ACB registered a case against Sukhdev Singh, Branch Post Master Post-Office, Dalhori, who during the year 2000-2007 dishonestly and fraudulently and by abusing his official position committed the offence of cheating and criminal breach of trust by way of collecting/accepting the amount from various persons of Dalhori, Ishni, Chapra, Sewajagir, Kanthol and other villages on behalf of post-office for issuing Kisan Vikas Patras and to deposit in the saving bank accounts/ recurring deposit accounts, but did not account for the whole amount so received and issued fake Kisan Vikas Patra and also fake receipts to the depositors.
During the investigation, the CBI/ACB team after collecting the evidence seized the record and calculated the amount misappropriated by Branch Post Master Sukhdev Singh totaling Rs 7, 34, 251 and registered a case u/s 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 477-A RPC r/w sections 5(2) 5(1) (c)(d) of J&K PC Act 2006.
