| Discrimination with Jammu increases manifold: alleges Gupta | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 5 ‘THE DISCRIMINATION with Jammu has increased manifold as even the legend of the Dogra Community has lost its significance in today’s era’, said Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu East Mandal President Sanjeev Gupta while expressing his views over the observance of State Holiday on the birthday of Kashmiri leaders. He said if Kashmiri politicians are given respect, why the leaders belonging to Jammu region have been ignored by the successive governments and pointed out if Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah’s Birth anniversary can be declared a holiday, why the anniversaries of Maharaja Gulab Singh, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra and several other Dogra leaders of high status are not given same treatment. He added that State government should make provision that every leader of the state, irrespective of his region, is given due recognition and alleged the government has failed in preserving the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and the dilapidated condition of Mubarak Mandi complex is the live example, he added. |
