| Where are Ministers? | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 5: With Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad engaged with the family following demise of his father in law, the civil secretariat has been wearing a deserted look since early this week with most of the Ministers away to Poonch or to their constituencies. Even though today was a state holiday, but a majority of the Ministers have been away from winter capital since the beginning of this week. While senior Ministers are returning to the winter capital on Friday to attend the cabinet meeting on Saturday, the Ministers of State still have their tightly packed schedules to different areas. Health Minister, Mangat Ram Sharma shuttled between Poonch and Srinagar. Rural Development Minister Jugal Kishore and Minister of State for Forests and Higher Education Ajaz Ahmed Khan are still in Poonch. Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Taj Mohiuddeen was away in Doda district since Monday and today he reached Srinagar. Agriculture Minister Abdul Aziz Zargar, School Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and Minister of State Mohammad Khalil Bandh are also in Srinagar. Works Minister Gulchain Singh Charak who was in the town also flew in to Srinagar later in the afternoon. Finance Minister Tariq Hamid Qarra is in Srinagar where today he had a meeting with officer on beautification of River Jehlum. Tourism Minister Mohammad Dillawar Mir is also in Srinagar and Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen is off on an extended tour to his constituency. |
