| Dilawar for imparting quality, value based education | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 6 The Minister for Tourism, PHE and Horticulture Mr. Muhammad Dilawar Mir today urged for imparting quality and value based education to the children for their all round personality development. He also called for adopting modern means of knowledge and skill development communication in education system to polish and exploit the talent of children, The Minister was speaking at the Annual Day function of a local private School today coinciding with the death anniversary of the first Chief Justice and legal luminary of the state, Justice Wazir Janki Nath. The Minister said quality and value based education to children was key for sound socio-economic transformation of the society. The Minister called for blending modern education with traditional value concepts to achieve height of excellence without unnecessary external cultural invasion and influence on the society. While paying rich tributes to the great legal luminary, Late Janki Nath Wazir who had served as an interim Governor of the J&K State, the Minister called for following his principles of honesty, social justice, religious and communal harmony, kindness and national integrity. The Minister suggested that students need to be given a liberal atmosphere to choose their education persuit of their own so that they could achieve heights of excellence without any external thrust of choice. He called upon the parents and teachers to study and evaluate the I-Q of a child before choosing future course of education for their wards. The Minister also appreciated Jammuities for keeping flag of communal harmony and peace in the state, turmoil, despite provocations by the anti-national and vested interests. The Minister also gave away prizes and awards among the students of the school for their best performance in various curricular and extra-curricular activities. The children of the school presented a scintillating colourful cultural programme depicting unity in diversity of the Nation, communal harmony and brotherhood. "Mera Joota hai Japani, Sar par Lal topi Roosi, phir bhi Dil Hai Hindustani" mesmerized the audience comprising prominent citizens, educationists and parents of the students. |
