| Ambekar remembered | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 6 BJP Anushchit Jaati Morcha (AJM), Jammu and Kashmir held a programme at party headquarters, here today in remembrance of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on occasion of his 51st Nirvaan Diwas (death anniversary). Programme began with the traditional lamp lighting and thereafter garlanding of the portriat of Baba Saheb. On this occasion many workers of BJP Anusuchit Jaati Morcha were present alongwith other party workers were present. While speaking BJP AJM State President N.D. Rajwal said Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was a national leader who always fought for week poor and down-trodden section of society. He said conferring of Bharat Ratna award to Dr. Ambedkar itself speaks how distinguished personality he was and his contribution in framing of the Indian Constitution was one of the major achievements. Bansi Lal Bharti while paying tributes to Dr. Ambedkar said that we should follow the teachings of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar and ensure quality education of our children so that they too reach the respectable position in the society. We should think that transformation in society is not possible unless and untill our community gets educated and once we get educated unless and untill we organize ourself and after getting organized we have to agitate for our rights untill we succeeded. State General Secretary AJM Adarsh Kumar said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is not leader of only Scheduled Caste Community he has done national service in the interest of Nation when he got opportunity to draft constitution of India he made every provision for every section of society which was week poor and down-trodden such as Scheduled Caste, handicaps, women, areas-wise backward society. He provision of reservation was made in the Constitution in the light of the concept of social-justice. India has emerged as biggest democracy of world after its independence, only because of its unique constitution on the contrary our neighbour Pakistan has faced three emergencies in its political history and at present is facing grave political situation. Prominent among those who also paid floral tributes included Balbir Ram, Chaman Lal Kanathia, Ashok Gandhi, Balwan Singh, Raj Kumar, Puran Bhagat, Bodh Raj, Vijay Thapa, Krishan Lal, Hirdesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Shiv Lal Manyal, Harbans, Parshotam, Behari Lal, Mandu Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Rakesh Kumar. |
