Congress intensifies 'Electioneering' in Poonch

The Congress today has intensified its campiagning in bi polls at Poonch-Haveli assembly segment for its candidate Jehangir Mir and went on public addressing spree in Dagwal and Kalai localities of the constituency facing the polls after the demise of elected represented from the area.
senior party leaders namely Ch Mohammed Aslam MP, general secreatry PCC, Ashok Shrma MLC, Lal Mohammed Sabar MLC, Zafar-ul-lah Distt President Congress Committee and Sanjeev Mangoo accompanied with party candidateaddresses series of public meetings in the said areas. Speakers appealed the people to vote for the party candidate keeping in view the tremendous progress regitered in all sectors of devlopment under particularly during the past two years of chief minister Azad led colaition government.
Highlighting the Azad led government's achievements, Ashok Sharma party MLC in his address specially mentioned that University Campus, Tourism Development Authority Poonch besides Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch Tourist Circuit have begun a new era of priosperity for tis remote hilly district. Sharma didn't fail to mention the historicMugal Road Project and said that this would not only provide an alternate link to valley but also would further open up an era of progress, employment and overall properity. Other speakers appreciating party high command said that it is because of the pro people policies of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and chief minister GHulam Nabi Azad that Trans-LoC roads in POonch and Muzafferbad have been reopened to facilitate emotional reunion of the divided families living on either side of the dividing line. The speakers also interacted with the variou heads of unions representing people of Poonch and intlectuals of the Poonch and urged them to vote for the partty candidate.
