Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 7 Urging the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, to develop a strategy for the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission recommendations for the Central and State Government employees, Z A Bhatti Congress leader and Chairman All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation demanded that special provisions should be made in the state budget of next fiscal to regularize all the daily wagers, who have completed seven years of service, besides enhancing their wages to Rs.110 per day in view of sharp increase in prices. Addressing a meeting of workers at Janipur here today, Bhatti urged the Central Government to grant disturbed area allowance to the state employees on the pattern of North-Eastern state and enhance income tax exemption limit to Rs. two lakhs. Those present at the meeting included Sohail Bhatti, Gulraiz Kaaiser, Bikramjeet Singh, Jabbar Ahmed, J L Kaul, Nasser Ahmed, Krishna Raina, Vipen Sharma, Shakeela Bhatti and Pervaiz Mirza. |
