| Beopar Mandal holds protest | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 7: The traders of various parts of Jammu on Friday organized a demonstration to protest against the alleged harassment of traders at the hands of enforcement wing of Municipality Corporation. Addressing the traders of Amphalla, Janipur, New Plot, President Beopar Mandal Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Dimple said that the corporation should abstain from harassing the traders by confiscating their merchandise. “Taking away goods of traders shows the high handedness of Municipality authorities and they should give up the practice soon," he said. He further said that the livelihood of thousands of people is at stake as most of the traders are compelled to close their business establishments due to fear of Municipality authorities. He also appealed Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to intervene into the matter so that thousands of traders could feel comfortable. Prominent among those who participated in the demonstration were Ashok Kumar, Vinet Kumar, Pawan Sodhi, Vijay Gupta, Mohan Lal, Radhe Sham Kohli, Anil Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Raman Kumar, Thoru Ram, Rakesh Kumar, Dev Raj Vipin, Mukesh and others. |
