| Casual labourers (BP) protest enters in 492 day | | | Early Times Reporter

Casual labourers of Basanter Project (BP) under the aegis of J&K Social Forestry and Medicine Forestry Project continued their protest on the 492nd consecutive day here today in support of their demand of release of wages.
The protestors continued their protest under the leadership of union president Narinder Singh Sambyal at the protest venue Tehsil HQ Samba. They raised slogans in favour of their demands and demanded early release of their dues. It is to mention that dharna was started on the August 3,2006 and continued till today. The Sarpanches and panches of the area too have extended their support to the protesting employees and have demanded early release of the wages of casual labourers. Bedsides union leaders including Narinder Singh others who addressed the protestors were Baldev Singh (Panch), Karan Singh (Kissan leader), Pritam Chand (Sarpanch).
The speakers categorically underlined they will continue their protest until their genuine demand is met. |
