Minister for Transport Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has reiterated coalition governments resolve to fulfill the commitment made under Common Minimum Programme saying that speedy and equitable development of all the regions of the state would be ensured.
Addressing various deputations which called on him during day long tour of his home constituency Khansahib on Friday, Hakeem Yaseen said that government has already launched various projects and welfare schemes in the state and accorded priority for the development of downtrodden and neglected areas.
Describing complete restoration of normalcy as imperative for the socio-economic development of the state, Mr. Yaseen expressed hope that government with the co-operation of people would restore peace for the prosperity of the state.
He said during past two years of coalition rule, massive development programme has been initiated in Budgam district under which road connectivity and drinking water facilities have been accorded priority.
The deputationists which called on the Minister apprised him about different issues confronting the people, which include repairs of damaged transformers and transmission lines, augmentation of drinking water installations, supply of adequate food grains, K-oil and LPG besides strengthening of infrastructure in educational institutions and health centres.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured that the problems being faced by them would be taken up for early redressal. He issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers for redressal of grievances of the people.
