| NGO calls for ‘International Youth Exchange Programme’ | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 07 Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM), a social development organization in association with its Canadian counterpart Canada World Youth (CWY) has invited entries from young aspirants willing for an international exchange programme. Rakesh Kumar secretary of the state chapter of JKSPYM, in a press release stated that SPYM is an organization working in the areas of health and socio-economic development since last 22 years has been organizing International Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) in collaboration with Canada World Youth (CWY), Canada since last nine years. He said that participants were selected from different parts of the country both in India and Canada and this year the parental organization has called applications from the J&K State. He stated that during this ‘Six Months Exchange Program, the selected candidates will spent three months in Canada and followed by the second phase in India. The main objectives of the YEP are to prepare youth for adaptability, self-knowledge, time/stress/conflict management, and a sense of responsibility, accountability, organization, teamwork and an opportunity to learn one or more languages.
