A deputation of association of Timber, Industries (ATI) Jammu under its president Thakur Jai Singh called on the managing director J&K state forest corporation. The president of association apprised of the present difficulties being faced by the timber traders and a memorandum containing demands, as to the improvement in the existing quality and quantity of timber being allotted for sale, stop transportation of the timber for sale at Pathankot, issuance of SSI quota to SSI units, issue of auction calendar fortnightly basis viz-a-kiz auctions in a month and issue of timber to fair price shops in log forms to avoid malpractices and misappropriation in the handling of such govt. properly, was presented to the MD. As per press release MD who gave patient hearings in all these matters. |
