| Three injured in gang war | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 7 The gang war incident hit the Katra town last night in which three gangsters of different gangs suffered serious injuries. According to reports, last night, five masked men traveling in a sumo reached the Katra town and opened some rounds of fire in the air and also attacked one person namely Varun Magotra in which he got serious injuries and after committing the crime, the masked men fled from the spot. After hearing the firing shots, the sources said, police team from Katra, led by SHO S S Sambyal rushed to spot and took the injured to the hospital. Sources said the attackers who fled from the spot also clashed with each other on some trifle issue in which three persons identified as Jacky, Bupinder Singh and Babloo Wazir, all resident of Katra, received gun shots. SP Katra, Ashok Sharma, said today that after the incident a police team swung into action and rushed to spot where police found three more persons in injured condition and also took them to Government Medical College Hospital for treatment where their condition is out of danger as last reports came in. Sources said the SP Katra himself lead the police team and raided at different places late night and recovered the sumo vehicle bearing N0 JK02N/6880 from the area. Police has registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the other person who fled away from the spot. |
