| Quality education imperative to produce excellent human resource: Mangat | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 7 Saying that imparting of quality education to youth is imperative for producing excellent human resource, the Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma called upon the teachers to ensure imparting of modern and scientific education to students and make them competent persons who could face any challenges in the modern world. Addressing annual day function of Maharaja Hari Singh Agriculture Collegiate School Nagbani today, the Minister said "various reformative steps have been taken for upgradation of education across in state". "Not only hundreds new primary schools have been opened but and upgraded but scores of degree colleges and technical institutions established across the state. More 12 degree colleges have been proposed to be established shortly", he added. Paying rich tributes to late Maharaja Hari Singh, Mr. Sharma said that that Maharaja in his rule had too paid attention towards the education and worked for eradicating caste system in the state. Cash prizes and mementos were also distributed by the Minister to the meritorious students of the institution. Principal of the institution presented the annual report and informed the audience about the progress made by the school in academic, co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities. He said that school would go ahead with full vigour and vitality to touch new heights. MLA Sangrama, Mr. Shoib Lone, Manager LMC Cpt. Dewan Singh, LMC members, parents, prominent citizens and students of the college participated in the function. The function started by paying floral tributes to late Maharaja Hari Singh followed by march past on the contingents of school children. The Minister took salute on the march past the contingents A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students on the occasion which mesmerized the audience. |
