| DDC reviews arrangement for Lossar Mela | | | Early Times Reporter Leh | Dec 8 To assess the availability of essential commodities for Lossar Mela the Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.K. Bhandari today reviewed the stock of essential commodities to be made available during Lossar festival. The meeting was told that 5 Kgs of Sugar and 20 Ltrs of K Oil was issued to each family in the district. The maximum families have availed this facility and Tanker of K. Oil have been rushed to Igoo, Marselang and Shara today. It was also disclosed that Cooperative Department has made available essential commodities at their various sale centres and goods worth Rs. 14 Lacs were sold by Cooperative Sale Centres established in Leh town within last 30 days. Reviewing the availability of vegetables, meat eggs, chicken etc, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that sufficient stock of meat, eggs, chicken including, vegetables in Leh town and block headquarters have already been made. The deputy commissioner instructed have already been made. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to inspect for rates and quality of eatables. The meeting decided that the electricity, which usually provide from 5 PM to 11PM would be extended from today for 3 days in Leh town. It would be kept from 5 PM to 1 AM and 4 AM to 7 AM. On 10th December the electricity would be kept available to Chowkhang Vihar from 4 AM to 1 PM. The DC also reviewed the drinking water facilities in the meeting He was told that additional tankers has been deployed so that the consumers get the drinking water easily. |
