| Tulsi says Modi should apologise for remark on Sohrabuddin | | | Attari | Dec 8 Senior Supreme Court advocate K.T.S Tulsi, who had threatened to withdraw as the Gujarat government counsel in Sohrabuddin case, today said chief minister Narendra Modi should apologise for his recent controversial remarks on the fake encounter. Tulsi repeated his advice to Modi even as the Gujarat government yesterday engaged senior advocate Ranjit Kumar for its defence in the fake encounter case. Kumar was earlier representing the government in two separate petitions related to the encounter. He said he was not keen to fight the Gujarat government's case in the apex court unless the chief minister made amends by tendering an apology. Talking to mediapersons while returning from Pakistan, Tulsi said Modi's controversial remark at an election rally was against the spirit of affidavits filed by the Government of Gujarat in the Sohrabuddin case. Tulsi had gone to Pakistan alongwith the president of DSGMC (Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee) Paramjit Singh Sarna on December 6, 2007 to discuss the draft of the Sikh Marriage Act 2007 for Pakistan. |
